Stimulus Generator 4002

The Animal unit owns a Stimulus Generator (STG) 4002 of multichannelsystems ltd for fMRI scans. This stimulator is designed for a wide variety of applications, both in vitro and in vivo. The MC_Stimulus software enables production and creation of complex stimlulus waveforms (both current and voltage). Waveforms designed in the program or imported from an external ASCII file are converted by the connected STGs into pulses, which are sent to stimulating electrodes.

The STG 4002 supports supports 2 trigger (TTL) inputs and 2 trigger outputs through BNC connectors with a maximal current output of 1.6mA.
